LEGAL & RIGHTS · PILLAR

Legal, Rights & Advocacy Support for Muslims in the UK

This pillar exists to make rights-related questions feel less intimidating. A helper here may be a paralegal, a community caseworker, a former MP staffer, or simply someone who has been through the same issue and can explain it in plain English.

What this pillar covers

Legal, Rights & Advocacy covers immigration questions, employment rights, tenancy disputes, discrimination complaints, civic engagement and signposting to regulated legal advice. The platform deliberately does not provide regulated legal advice itself — instead, helpers explain the landscape, share experience, and point you to Citizens Advice, the Equality Advisory Support Service, JustForKids Law, Muslim-led legal charities or local solicitors as relevant.

When to escalate beyond the platform

Anything involving the police, the Home Office, family court or a possible criminal case must go through qualified routes. The platform helps you get oriented; it cannot replace a solicitor or a regulated immigration adviser.
