If your cupboards are empty and the next pay or benefit day is a week away, this page is for you. Muslims Help Muslims connects households who need a food parcel, a small supermarket voucher, or a hot meal with helpers and Muslim-led food banks across the UK.
WHO THIS PAGE IS FOR
Three common response shapes: a supermarket gift card or e-voucher (£20–£50 covers a few days for a small family); a halal food parcel delivered or collected from a Muslim-led food bank; or a one-off prepared meal from a community helper. Helpers often choose based on what they can do that week.
Be specific about household size and any dietary needs (allergies, halal preference, baby formula, soft food for elderly relatives). Mention the city or area. If you can travel to collect a parcel, say so — many Muslim food banks operate from one address. If you can’t travel, helpers may be able to deliver.
We never publish your address publicly. Delivery details are shared in a private message after you accept an offer.
Several Muslim-led food banks across the UK accept referrals through community platforms. The Directory page on Muslims Help Muslims lists verified organisations. For Trussell Trust referrals, a foodbank voucher is usually needed from a frontline worker (Citizens Advice, school, GP) — helpers can sometimes connect you to one.
During Ramadan, demand spikes and donors are most active. If you’re likely to need iftar support for a particular week, post early — the best responses tend to come from the first week of the month.
Three details unlock the quickest help: how many adults and children you are feeding, whether you can collect or need delivery, and how urgent it is (today, this week). A short line on why — a delayed wage, a benefit sanction, a new baby — helps a donor understand and respond. You never have to share more than you are comfortable with, and your address is only revealed in a private message after you accept an offer.

Zakat Help UK
If you are eligible for Zakat and going through a tight period — rent, food, energy bills, school costs, a sudden gap in income — you can post on Muslims Help Muslims and ask the UK Muslim community for Zakat assistance.
Sadaqah Support UK
Sadaqah is voluntary charity given outside the obligation of Zakat. It can be small or large, regular or one-off, money or time or in-kind help. If you need community support but you are not strictly Zakat-eligible, Sadaqah is usually the right ask.
Emergency Funds UK
Emergency Funds is the right page when something has gone wrong this week and you need quick emergency support from the community: an unexpected travel cost to see a sick relative, a single bill that can’t wait, a stolen wallet, an urgent care expense.
