What a mock interview covers
A typical 30-minute mock covers an introduction question (‘tell me about yourself’), two competency questions answered with the STAR structure (situation, task, action, result), and one curveball — usually a behavioural or stress question. The helper then spends 10 minutes on feedback.
How to make the practice useful
Send the helper the job description and the company name before the call. Treat the mock as if it were real — be in a quiet room, dress as you would, keep your camera on. The honest feedback only lands if the practice is honest.
