Interview Help for Muslims in the UK

Last updated 21 May 2026

Booked an interview? This page connects you to a Muslim professional in your field for a free mock interview and prep call. Most do one structured run-through, then give honest feedback on what to change.

WHO THIS PAGE IS FOR

  • Anyone with an upcoming interview
  • First-time UK interviewees
  • Senior candidates wanting practice with competency questions

What a mock interview covers

A typical 30-minute mock covers an introduction question (‘tell me about yourself’), two competency questions answered with the STAR structure (situation, task, action, result), and one curveball — usually a behavioural or stress question. The helper then spends 10 minutes on feedback.

How to make the practice useful

Send the helper the job description and the company name before the call. Treat the mock as if it were real — be in a quiet room, dress as you would, keep your camera on. The honest feedback only lands if the practice is honest.

Common UK interview patterns

Civil service uses behavioural success-profile questions. Big-four professional services often run competency or case interviews. Healthcare values evidence-based reflection. Tech and product roles run system-design and behavioural rounds. Helpers from each sector can tailor the mock.

How Muslims Help Muslims works

1

Submit your request or browse support

Create a free account, pick the category that fits your situation and write a short, honest post. You can stay anonymous in the public listing.

2

The platform connects you with helpers

Helpers and donors browsing your city or category will see the request and message you privately to offer support.

3

Talk it through safely

Agree the help in private messaging. Share only what you need to share — never share bank details publicly.

4

Close the case and follow up

When the help has landed, mark the case closed. Optional follow-up keeps the door open for further support if needed.

Trust and safety

Email verification gates the messaging system, and sensitive details are never shown on the public homepage. You can post anonymously, limit who can contact you, and decide what to share in messages.

Muslims Help Muslims is a connecting platform — we do not hold or distribute donations, and we don’t claim to vet every helper. Always keep bank details out of public posts, take your time when accepting offers, and read our Safety Tips before posting your first request.
