What a regular visit looks like
Often weekly, often an hour. A cup of tea, a chat, sometimes a small task (post to the bin, change a light bulb). Many helpers pair the visit with helping pray Asr or Maghrib together.
External UK support
Age UK runs befriending and visiting schemes. Your council's adult social care team can also signpost or assess for formal care. The Royal Voluntary Service has a national befriending network.
