Curtains and tracks look simple — drilling four holes — until you hit a steel lintel, a plasterboard wall with no studs, or a bay window that has three different angles. This page connects you with Muslim helpers who can do it once, cleanly.
WHO THIS PAGE IS FOR
Poles work best for single-window decorative curtains and lighter fabrics. Tracks (especially bendable PVC track) are the right choice for bay windows, ceiling-mounts, blackout curtains in kids' rooms, and any setup with curtains spanning two or more windows. Helpers can sanity-check before purchase.
Solid brick: brown wall plugs + steel screws. Plasterboard with studs: long woodscrews into the stud. Plasterboard alone: heavy-duty toggle fixings (the metal kind, not plastic) rated for the weight of pole + lined curtain. Steel lintels above modern windows: self-tapping screws into the lintel or expand the bracket to fit beyond it.
Either three separate poles (cleaner look) or a single bendable PVC track that follows the bay's angles. The single track is faster but the curtain has to glide across all bends — buy quality glides. A community helper has usually done both.

Furniture & Assembly Services
Flat-pack assembly is the volunteer-friendly end of household help — a couple of hours, some Allen keys, and a wardrobe gets built. This page connects you with helpers who can do that, plus paid Muslim handymen for bigger jobs.
Home Repair & Handyman
Home Repair & Handyman is the home of small-job requests — a sticking door, a wonky shelf, a broken lock, a dripping tap. This page connects you with Muslim handymen and community helpers who handle these jobs at a fair price or, for hardship cases, on Sadaqah.
Moving & Delivery Services
Moving day is one of the most stressful days a household goes through. This page connects you with Muslim man-and-van operators, community helpers with a free Saturday, and donors who can cover a one-off move for a hardship case.
Painting & Decorating
Painting and decorating is one of the most common practical asks on the platform — before Ramadan or Eid, after a tenancy change, or for a family who can’t do it themselves. This page connects you with community helpers and Muslim decorators.
